Shadowed Forest

A mix of Pine, and Maples decorate the dark leaved forest. Old tall trees stretch to reach the skies, as their canopies and thick branches shade the area all year round. Deep greens almost black the deeper you go into the forest give this forest an ominous feeling to it. Short grass barely lives on the carpeted flooring of fallen leaves, pines and sprouting trees, small rodents like chipmunks and mice call the dense fallen foliage home, along with hares, foxes and coyotes. Herds of deer barely venture here due to lack of food, but random loner buck travel to find mates.
Different ages of trees give the place more of a layered feeling traveling through it.
